The entire planning process, ranging from construction, technical interior and exterior installations to construction logistics, and quality control, is taken care of. <p> The Studio <p> The former blacksmith shop reformed by Sergi Bastidas and Gabriela Kacelnik, serves as a study of architecture, the Studio is situated just on the outside of Palma centre. <p> The main objective of this restoration was to maintain the utility of ample space. <p> The adopted solutions, that have little visual impact, are based on a careful design of the necessary partitions. <p> First it was decided to have transparent show windows with very fine carpentry to separate the entrance from the lobby, this then leads off to access the different parts of the studio. This way, from the first vision of the place one perceives the amplitude and industrial character of the project. To further emphasise the unique space, separating plastered work panels that do not reach the ceiling were placed in different zones on the ground floor, this contributes to the illusion of greater space and also serve as a suitable surface to hang pictures and add to the final atmosphere. On the upper level vertical partitions were placed to form meeting rooms. <p> From an architectural point of view, the simplicity of the lines was chosen to respect the original nature of the construction and to maintain many of the pre-existing structures. A good example of this conservation can be found in the double strip windows and the original columns. In addition some of the decoration, like the ceiling lamps, hark back to the original era. The bath is one of the significant pieces of this restoration and the furniture was specifically designed to complement this feature. Consisting of a circular shower that works like a nucleus for the other elements, there is a stone cylinder that does not extend to the ceiling, this takes advantage of the natural light in the room.
